Rookwood will be having it's open day again this year on the
Sunday 14th of September. The open day will run from
10am to 3pm and include a variety of events like historical talks, parades, crematorium tours, and more. There will also be multiple stalls and exhibitions from funeral homes and historical groups. So there's certainly plenty to do!
When: 14th September, 10am to 3pm.

Funerals are usually fairly sober events. Those monuments being propped up, combined with the sunlight, trees, and flowers make that a more lively space. It's beautiful. ReplyDeleteIt's crazy to think about funeral planning. Death isn't something you think about while you're living. It's better to have a plan though. My wife and I are about to have a kid, and we've decided to lay out exactly what we want to happen in case one or both of us unexpectedly dies. These plans will likely change as time goes on, but it's good to have a plan just in case. i think the weirdest part is making plans for a funeral. I feel like I'll never be able to get this fully planned for myself. I just hope that a place like this would be able to step in and make the process easier for my friends and family.
