So here's a few more pictures of inside a funeral home mortuary. Enjoy!
The pictures below are of the Lady Anne Funerals mortuary. Recently Lady Anne Funerals allowed me to spend the day with them, and to take photos. I'll have a full post about my time there this friday, these are just the photos of the mortuary.
Here is my post about inside Lady Anne Funerals, with more information and photos of the funeral home.
The head block, used to elevate the deceased's head.
An embalming machine.
A medical waste bin. It has a foot pedal so you
do not need to touch the bin with hands.
The blueish liquid in the spray bottle is "dis spray".
Short for disinfectant spray. Used to clean many tools and surfaces.
The mortuary door.
One can never have too many towels in a mortuary.
Various tools, sorted into colourful draws.
These next photos were given to me anonymously by someone in the funeral industry. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of tools, so they were gracious enough to send me some.
Eye caps, placed under the eyelid to keep the
the eyes closed and stop them looking 'sunken'.
